History
- The today's KVT Solutioneering Group was founded in 1927 under the name of Dr. Ing. Max Koenig AG as a light construction engineering business.
- In 1950 the portfolio was extended through the launch of Fastening Solutions sales, twenty years later in 1970 the Expander business was launched.
- Between 1973 and 2005 the company established country organizations in Germany (1973), Austria (1992), Poland (2000) and Czech Republic (2005).
- In 1985 Dr. Ing. Koenig AG became «Koenig Verbindungstechnik AG» (KVT).
- In 1988 the Debrunner-Koenig Holding (DKH) was founded as member of the Klöckner Group.
- Through a leveraged Buy Out in 2008 Koenig Verbindungstechnik was detached from its former owner Debrunner Holding AG.
- In 2009 KVT-Koenig, LLC, the first non-European branch was established as the result of the acquisition of the US companies Farmington Engineering (2007) and Sherex Industries (2008).
- In 2010 KVT expanded its international presence to Slovenia, Slovakia and Hungary. KVT-Koenig, LLC, relocated from Madison, CT to North Haven. In the same year the successfull KVT branches worldwide joined forces as members of the even stronger «KVT Solutioneering Group».
- The KVT Solutioneering Group further followed its strategy of continuous expansion in 2011 by founding sales organizations in Rumania, Brazil, China as well as Singapore for South East Asia.
- 2012 the business segment Fastening contains approximately 23.000 active customers and approximately 68.000 product items. The Sealing division includes approximately 5.000 active customers and 2.000 product items.
